Barclays Bank Scam Email

Here is an email I received recently – scarily telling me that  some of my recent transactions on my Barclays account have been ‘revoked’.

Oh dear. Still it is clearly a scam email. It has many features that identify it as not legitimate;

• No personalised email address or salutation
• Sent email address is not Barclays
• it is not on a Barclays email template
• it includes an attachment – no mention of it in the email
• The ‘Sign in’ hyperlink does not lead to a Barclays email address

I’m keeping well away from it and so should you if you receive it.
