Teams are a means to an end, not the end itself

A team is required when the objective cannot be achieved by one person. Effective teams i.e. those that deliver the required results are orientated around three elements;

  • the task
  • each individual's capabilities, talents and passions and
  • the character of the team itself

Team leaders must demonstrate a combination of specific skills, strength of character and empathy in order to ensure their team delivers and thrives. High performing team members create an environment in which their personal skills and passions are clearly linked to meeting the team's objectives.

Building excellence in teamwork

New Frontiers takes a highly practical route towards helping people lead and work in teams. Based on proven psychological models, we develop and run bespoke programmes that lead people towards understanding and applying the behaviours that drive results.

Programme Elements

These programmes may include some or all of the following elements;

  • TalentDevelopment - how to link what drives each individual (their Talents and Passions) with the team's Objectives
  • The Four Stages™ of Contribution - helping people understand the competencies they need to master to demonstrate team leadership and followship
  • TalentCoaching - developing skills in using coaching methods to develop people, increase engagement and ensure enhanced effectiveness
  • Models of Team development and Operation - using our executive coaching capabilities to help leaders build their own authentic style and methods of team leadership based on contemporary models MBTI, Belbin and other assessment tools - valuable in helping people gain an insight into their styles and preferences. Invaluable in assisting teams members to understand each others preferences and hence improve team working
  • 360 Feedback - to measure the starting point and progress towards the goal of high performing team leadership and operations

Outcomes

Highly effective teams are great places in which to work. The business benefits are clear in terms of improved effectiveness, enhanced performance, greater engagement and reduced costs.
