We have never understood why people, especially those in senior roles within organisations, can be so disparaging about soft skills. Decrying them because they aren't measurable, disparaging them because they aren't 'hard'.
And thus delegating them to the 'not important and not urgent' pile.
On the contrary.
There is more than enough research available to demonstrate that good soft skills are the cornerstone of individual and organisational success.
What value is an employee if they aren't highly effective at collaborating with others, at communicating with people both inside and outside their organisation?
And what does it say about your organisation if you haven't helped your ambassadors - your employees - to become the very best communicators they can be.
